Wanted to make a quick mention of what we were up to this weekend.  Linda and I decided to take a drive on Sunday.  Drove through the Galloway Forest Park.... making our way up the windy road towards the south Ayreshire coast.  Stopped in Newton Stewart for lunch.  Then to Girvan, which overlooks Ailsa Craig, and stopped for an ice cream ( Read more... )

For my birthday recently, Linda got me an Amazon Echo...  which uses the Alexa App....  so basically, you talk to it and it will answer your questions or play a song or other things.... games, jokes, tell the news, weather, etc.....  So we're just getting used to it now.  It's pretty cool in that it will play songs just by asking for them (if it's ( Read more... )

We've got tons of old VHS tapes that we used to record things off TV with...  lots of old Coronation Street episodes on them and other junk like that.  From time to time, I've been working thru them and extracting anything interesting and recording it on DVD.... so I can finally throw the old tapes out.  Today's one of those days ( Read more... )

Had a nice trip down to Manchester with Linda and Jenny today to go on the Coronation Street studio tour.  We stopped off in Cumbria for dinner in Penrith on the way back.

Well I haven't written in here properly in quite a while. Just busy with other things, I guess.

My days are busy at work, and I'm liking it for the most part. I also like my commute, which is the shortest distance I've ever had to travel to a job (not counting living away in Glasgow during the week like I used to do when I worked up there.
